Exhibiting lacquer artworks by a craftsman with over half a century of experience was both fascinating and challenging. Each piece carried its own radiance and glamour, so finding a way for them all to shine without overshadowing one another required careful thought. With a modest budget but the need for effectiveness, we chose to use movable partitions combined with bamboo blinds — a traditional Vietnamese material — coated with a thin layer of silver paint. This surface, not too simple yet refined, created an effective backdrop that allowed the lacquer pieces to stand out, preserving both the subtlety and the spirit of craftsmanship behind them.
