If the savannah opens up a vast view of the landscape, where the ground, vegetation, sky, and horizon merge into an almost boundless field of vision, then from the height of a penthouse, the city’s skyline becomes a new kind of landscape. Buildings, lights, and movements below are perceived as a distant panorama, while layers of greenery, natural materials, and carefully framed spaces create the sensation of being sheltered within nature.
The two worlds — wilderness and metropolis — are therefore not entirely oppositional, but coexist within a single visual experience: outside, the city unfolds in constant motion; inside, a quiet refuge allows its inhabitants to step back, observe, and experience the urban landscape from a different distance.
